We are lucky to live so near to my sister JaLayne and spend pretty much everyday with them. We had great Sunday dinner with them and took some photos. Unfortunatly they are leaving soon for New York, so if we move back in a year we won't have them around to mooch off anymore:(

Getting up from our nap.

Update on the Matsoso's

So Moema and I have been married two and a half years now, some days it seems like it has flown by and others like it has been ten years:) We have been so blessed with a happy life free severe trials or financial stress. We have lived in Hawaii since our marriage in December 2006, Moema is now a senior at BYU Hawaii. Currently he is interning at State Farm Insurance in Investment Accounting at their headquarters in Bloomington, Illinois. We hope they offer him a job at the end of the eleven weeks. My brother-in-law, David Grow, is an attorney at State Farm and so I have my sister JaLayne nearby! However, she is moving to New York soon with her family so if we move back here we won't have her around:( So basically everyday I just hang out with my sister and her six kids, I love it! I am returning to Hawaii July 10th to start at job as a Hale Coordinator (Dorm Manager) for a Single Girls dorm. I am excited for my new job which will allow me to have my baby with me always, and hopefully be a positive influence on the single girls at BYU Hawaii. I had a wonderful job with MEI Corp Construction company, as an office manager- I will miss the wonderful people there - but in April I had to quit due to the baby and our move for the summer.

Being in Illinois we miss Hawaii so much and are dreading the day we have to leave it. We love being parents, it is so fun! Calvin is such a joy. Motherhood does open up a whole new world to you, one which includes fear for anything that might befall your child. But it is well worth it. Moema has really taken to fatherhood and is already talking to Calvin about Soccer scores and rugby teams - early indoctrination.

Moema and Calvin reading the paper.

These are photos we had taken when Calvin was three months, he really could be a baby model. We just don't get sick of looking at these, they turned out so great. What a happy baby!

Calvin's cute little idiosyncrasies:

He easily gets addicted - every few weeks I have to take his pacifier away or he get so attached to it he wants it in his mouth twenty four hours a day - No coke or video games for him when he is older!

He loves his mom - I know this sounds conceited but my boy sure loves me. From the moment of his birth he seems to know who I am. He even smiled at me the first time I saw him. He will cry and cry with anyone else but the second I hold him he calms down. He used to really get mad when his dad held him, but now he is getting used to him. When he is on his dad's tummy though he will lean towards me, it is so cute. But this does give his dad a good excuse for handing him off to me quickly when he cries:)

He loves Noise - his best sleep has been had during an extremely loud Seasider game and watching Star Trek in the theater.

He loves Red Hot Chili Peppers - When he starts freaking out in the car, we put the Red Hot Chili Peppers on Moema's phone and put it up to his ear and he will calm down immediately. If we try other music he doesn't like it, he is very particular.

He is already scared of strangers- At 3 1/2 months he already gets scared when a stranger comes too close or makes funny faces at him. At State Farm a lady came up and was making a fuss over him and his lower lip came out and he started screaming until she left.

He refuses to sleep on his back - He used to be a very light sleeper with short naps until I put him on his tummy, now he sleeps great. No matter how I try to get him to sleep on his back he won't - stubborn boy!
